Are you interested in becoming Catholic? We are thankful that you have been led to St. John the Apostle to embark on this wonderful journey of faith formation.
It begins with a simple conversation so you can ask questions and learn about Catholic beliefs, how we worship, and how we celebrate and live our faith in the modern world. We know that becoming Catholic isn't a decision taken lightly nor one to be made in a day, but is a process that begins with conversation, reflection and prayer.
The Church uses a program of faith formation called the Rite of Christian Initiation. It's a personal faith journey introducing you to Catholicism and preparing you for receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist at Easter.
At St. John the Apostle, we offer age-appropriate instruction to guide you on your faith journey. Instruction is provided to those 18 years of age and older and those between the ages of 7 and 17.
Adults (age 18 & older)
Adults who have never received Christian baptism are provided with the necessary faith formation to become disciples of Christ in the Roman Catholic Rite.
Adults who have been baptized in another Christian faith tradition are formed to become fully initiated Catholics.
Children (ages 7 to 17)
Children are welcomed into our process of initiation with love and guidance to become fully initiated members of the Roman Catholic Faith.
