What is the Emmaus High School Retreat?
The purpose of this retreat is to create a space where young people will come to see Christ and allow Him to transform their lives in and through the Eucharist, particularly through the Eucharistic Liturgy.
The Scriptural theme of this retreat is from Luke 24:30-31, “and it happened that, while he was with them at table, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them. With that their eyes were opened, and they recognized him...”
The Catechetical theme comes from paragraph 1074 – “the liturgy is the…fount from which all [the Church’s] power flows…for it is in the sacraments especially the Eucharist, that Christ Jesus works in fullness for the transformation of men.”
