In addition to music, liturgical ministers are needed in several additional realms during Mass. If you are not a musician, consider helping in one of these ways:
Altar Servers
The Altar Servers assist the priest and/or deacon, thereby serving the whole community. Any child that has completed First Communion can be an altar server. Training is held periodically throughout the school year. Servers are scheduled at Masses according to the times their families attend. If you are interested in serving, please contact
the Parish Office at (817) 284-4811.
Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers serve at each Mass, assisting the priest by giving the Body and Blood of Christ. Training is provided. Please contact the Parish Office at (817) 284-4811 if you are interested in serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
Sacristans
Service Ministers gather the liturgical items for the celebration of the Eucharist prior to the start of each Mass. They assist with making sure the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ goes smoothly. Most Sacristans first serve as Eucharist Ministers, before taking on this role. Please contact the Parish Office at (817) 284-4811 if you are interested in serving as a Service Minister.
Lectors
Lectors proclaim the word of God at each Mass. They also read the Prayers of the Faithful. Lectors also periodically read for weddings and funerals. Training is provided. For English Masses, please contact the Parish Office at (817) 284-4811. For Spanish Masses, contact Diácono Matias at the Parish Office at (817) 284-4811.
Ushers (Additional Screening Required)
Ushers facilitate the assembly with an attitude of hospitality and service in varied ways during the celebration of the Mass. This ministry is open to men and women, youth and adults. Training is provided. Please contact the Parish Office at (817) 284-4811 if you are
interested in being an usher.
Lazarus Ministry
Those involved with this ministry assist families through the process of planning the funerals of their loved ones. This ministry often comforts those in need while assisting them in funeral preparation. Please contact Lola Pasillas at the Parish Office at (817) 284-4811 if you are interested in helping in this ministry.
